Tough question. One of the most versatile players was Mike Groh of Randolph. Iron Head Heyward was great. You have Franco Harris, Irving Fryer, Dave Szott, Theesman, Pearson, ...... So many....

I might go with Drew Pearson. I don't believe it is him though.

So hard to pick one, but one can't go too far wrong with Summit's Willie Wilson. Top recruited RB who chose baseball and ended up playing with the Kansas City Royals. Also a top basketball player. I have heard a few old-timers say he is the best they ever saw.

Second on Willie Wilson. Best high school athlete I've ever seen in person.

Brian Cushing for sure. The thread is titled best NJ HSFB player ever. Not best athlete, or best NJ native w best college/pro career. Cushing takes the cake. If you disagree, it's because you never saw him play live.

I would take Brian Toal over Cushing.

Agree. Either are interchangeable in my mind.

Toal did it on both sides a lot more. Overall, he did it longer.
